Former 2NE1 Member Park Bom Announces New Journey as a Songwriter

Park Bom has officially announced a new chapter in her music career, revealing that she will also pursue activities as a songwriter.

On July 8, the former 2NE1 member shared the news through her personal social media account by posting a short video along with the message: "I've decided to also be active as a songwriter."

In the video, Park Bom introduced a preview of a new song that she personally composed, explaining that she wrote both the melody and the lyrics herself.

She revealed that the track is titled "On a Rainy Day" and told fans "I will record it with my own voice and upload the full version later."

The announcement comes shortly after Park Bom's departure from her former agency, D-NATION Entertainment.

Last month, the company confirmed that her exclusive contract had come to an end, stating:

"Park Bom has been focusing on recovering her health. We decided to conclude the contract in order to respect the direction she wishes to pursue in the future."

Park Bom has been on a temporary hiatus since August of last year to prioritize her health. Despite stepping back from official activities, she has continued communicating with fans through social media.

She originally debuted in 2009 as a member of 2NE1 under YG Entertainment, becoming part of one of the most influential girl groups in K-pop history.

Throughout their career, 2NE1 released numerous hit songs, including I Don't Care, I Am the Best, and Lonely, all of which remain beloved by fans around the world.

Following her latest announcement, many fans expressed excitement about seeing Park Bom showcase another side of her artistry, looking forward to hearing music created entirely from her own songwriting and composition.
