Winwin to Leave SM Entertainment and Officially Conclude All NCT Activities

Winwin is officially leaving SM Entertainment and concluding all activities as a member of NCT.

On July 8, SM Entertainment announced through NCT’s official Weverse community that Winwin’s exclusive contract will expire on July 9, 2026. According to the agency, the decision was made after extensive discussions and mutual agreement between both parties.

The company stated:

"Winwin will conclude all NCT activities."

SM Entertainment also thanked the artist for spending more than a decade with the company, beginning with his trainee years, and wished him success as he embarks on a new chapter in his career.

Winwin made his debut in 2016 as a member of NCT 127 before expanding his activities through various NCT units, including NCT U and the China-based group WayV.

In recent years, he has increasingly focused on acting projects in China. Beginning with the 2023 drama Sweet Games, Winwin has continued to build his acting career through several productions, leading many fans to believe this marks the beginning of a new stage in his professional journey.

The announcement comes amid a series of contract changes involving NCT members. Earlier this year, reports stated that Mark had ended his contract with SM Entertainment and left the group, while Ten also concluded his exclusive contract with the agency but chose to continue promoting as a member of NCT.

Following the announcement, fans around the world expressed gratitude for Winwin’s contributions over the past decade and wished him success in both his acting career and future endeavors.
