YURA Reveals She Was Shocked by the Beauty of BAE SUZY and PARK JI-YEON During Debut Days

Yura, member of Girl's Day and actress, shared a story about being shocked by the beauty of Bae Suzy and Park Ji-yeon during her rookie days.

On May 8, the YouTube channel YuraYuraHae uploaded a video titled “Sojin Perfectly Chooses a Marriage Partner That Matches Yura.”

In the video, Yura and Sojin appeared in princess-themed outfits while having a “Girls Talk” conversation. The two reminisced about their first meeting and memories from their Girl’s Day promotion days.

When Sojin asked about Yura’s first impression of her, Yura replied, “I don’t remember exactly our very first meeting, but unnie was 23 years old at the time, while I was still a high school senior. She felt like such an adult and seemed very distant to me.”

She continued, “Looking back now, she was actually still very young back then. But I felt like I shouldn’t make any mistakes and was honestly scared. I also worried that the members might dislike a new member, so I was very cautious. Still, from the time we promoted ‘Expectation,’ our teamwork and bond became really strong.”

Yura also revealed how shocked she was by the visuals of other girl group members during her debut period.

She said, “When I first came up from Ulsan, I thought I was the prettiest. But then I realized I was in trouble. I appeared on a program called ‘Bouquet,’ where all the pretty idols gathered together. We filmed while wearing wedding dresses, and when I first saw Suzy, I was completely shocked. Then I saw Jiyeon and was shocked again. It wasn’t just one or two people. I completely lost my confidence.”

She candidly added, “I went into a booth alone and cried, thinking, ‘I’m not actually pretty,’ and ‘People from the Seoul metropolitan area really are on another level.’”
