BTS Creates a Buzz in Mexico City After Appearing on the Balcony of the Mexican Presidential Palace to Greet Fans in Person
On May 6, local time, Claudia Sheinbaum, the President of Mexico, officially invited BTS to meet at the National Palace ahead of the group's concerts in the country.
Following their meeting, all seven members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—stood on the balcony overlooking Zócalo Square, where thousands of fans had gathered below to welcome them.

Images from the event showcase the seven members dressed in various stylish suits, standing together with bright smiles and warmly waving at their fans.
At one point, J-Hope spread his arms wide to hype up the atmosphere, while several members leaned over the balcony railing to make eye contact with fans. RM and V shared composed smiles, while Jin and Jungkook excitedly responded to the cheers from the crowd.
Additionally, there were moments when the members made heart signs and clapped to communicate with fans in their own unique styles, against the backdrop of the luxurious palace featuring a stunning chandelier that added to the grandeur of the event.
The BTS members also took the microphone to greet fans in simple Spanish phrases like "We love you," "Mexico is the best," and "See you later," which drew enthusiastic screams from the audience.
This visit occurs just before BTS's concerts in Mexico starting on May 7, with a total of three performances scheduled for May 7, 9, and 10, all of which sold out quickly after tickets went on sale.
This marks BTS's first visit to Mexico in approximately nine years, since 2017, and local media speculate that the group's return will have a significant economic impact on the country once again.
