fromis_9 to Make July Comeback With First Full-Length Album in 3 Years
K-pop girl group fromis_9 is set to return this July with a new full-length album, aiming to solidify their reputation as one of K-pop’s top “Summer Queens.”
According to an exclusive report by OSEN on May 12, fromis_9 members Song Hayoung, Park Jiwon, Lee Chaeyoung, Lee Nagyung, and Baek Jiheon are preparing for a comeback in July.
Their agency Ascend stated,
“fromis_9 will make a comeback with a full-length album in July. Since it has been a long time since their last studio album, we are putting great effort into creating a highly complete album. Please look forward to new music filled with fromis_9’s unique energy and color.”
fromis_9 has built a strong connection with the summer season throughout their career. In June 2022, the group released the EP album ‘from our Memento Box’ and its title track ‘Stay This Way,’ which earned five music show wins, including the group’s first-ever No.1 trophy on a terrestrial music broadcast.
In 2024, the group continued their success with ‘Supersonic,’ the title track of the single album of the same name, which achieved four music show wins and further strengthened their “Summer Queen” image.
Their EP album ‘From Our 20’s,’ released after transferring agencies and reorganizing as a five-member group, also demonstrated the group’s strong popularity. The title track ‘LIKE YOU BETTER’ topped music programs and remained in the upper ranks of the Melon Top 100 chart for three consecutive weeks.
fromis_9 also proved their strength outside the summer season. Their remake single ‘White Longing,’ released last December, climbed to No.5 on the Melon Top 100 chart, tying the group’s personal best record. The song also earned first place on KBS2’s ‘Music Bank’ and MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core,’ along with a Hot Stage win on SBS’s ‘Inkigayo.’
