Park Jinyoung to Make Solo Comeback Collaborating with Wonpil (DAY6) on New Mini Album 'Said & Done'

Actor and artist Park Jinyoung is set to make his return to music with a comeback as a singer through a new mini-album.

At midnight on April 30, Park Jinyoung released the trailer for his second solo mini-album titled Said & Done on his official YouTube channel.

Fans were particularly excited to see the name of Wonpil from DAY6 mentioned in the trailer, raising expectations for a collaboration between the two.

In the clip, Park Jinyoung appears with the message, “Take your time with seventeen -wonpil,” as he drinks tea that evokes memories tied to being 17 years old. The two have known each other since their trainee days at JYP Entertainment and have maintained a close friendship for over 15 years.

According to reports from Korean media, Wonpil has also contributed to Park Jinyoung’s new music. His agency, BH Entertainment, confirmed the collaboration, making fans eagerly anticipate the musical chemistry of this close-knit duo.

Park Jinyoung and Wonpil are among the most beloved close friends in the K-pop industry. Previously, Park Jinyoung revealed on the online variety show Salon Drip that he is so close to Wonpil that they once talked for over 11 hours straight.

He shared that even during moments of silence that lasted nearly an hour, they felt at ease, as their friendship doesn't require constant conversation. Wonpil also mentioned on the Bubble platform that after watching the show, they called each other to check on how long they had really talked, discovering it had been about 12 and a half hours.

The mini-album Said & Done is set to be released officially on May 13 at 6:00 PM KST, marking Park Jinyoung’s first solo album in almost three years since his debut work, Chapter 0: WITH, which launched in January 2023.

Recently, Park Jinyoung has continued to engage in both music and acting, collaborating with GOT7 on the mini-album WINTER HEPTAGON and the digital single Christmas Fever.

Additionally, he has been involved in a number of series and films, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and recognized actor among audiences.
