Leaked Photos from Taecyeon's Private Wedding on Chinese Online Platform Spark Privacy Concerns

Photos from the private wedding of Ok Taecyeon, a member of 2PM and a well-known actor, are rapidly circulating in Chinese online communities, sparking a renewed debate over privacy violations due to unauthorized photography.

On April 27, reports from various online communities noted that images from Taecyeon's wedding, which took place on April 24 at The Shilla Seoul in the Jangchung-dong area of Jung-gu, Seoul, were swiftly disseminated across Chinese online platforms.

It is believed that the photos were taken by guests staying at the hotel, using views from their room windows that overlooked the wedding venue. These images were then shared widely and became easily accessible in Korean online communities as well.

This is not the first instance of such a situation occurring in the Korean entertainment industry. A similar issue arose during the private wedding of Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki, which was held in October 2017 at the same venue, as well as during the wedding of Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin in March 2022 at Grand Walkerhill Seoul. In both cases, unauthorized photos taken by foreign fans led to widespread criticism.

Meanwhile, Taecyeon is scheduled to hold a concert celebrating the 15th anniversary of 2PM in Tokyo, Japan, on May 9 and 10.
