The8 (SEVENTEEN) Set to Release Self-Written Song “Love Is Gone,” Capturing the Emotions of Farewell with a Vibrant Hyperpop Sound

The8 of SEVENTEEN is set to release another self-composed song with a new digital single that conveys emotions of sadness following a breakup.

On April 30, Pledis Entertainment announced that The8 will drop his self-composed digital single titled "Love Is Gone (不见了)" on May 1 at 1:00 AM KST.

“Love Is Gone” expresses the pain of separation through a unique Hyperpop sound, with The8 taking full charge of the lyrics and contributing to the composition as well.

The lyrics reflect the remnants of a relationship that linger on even after a loved one has gone, capturing the inner fragility that arises from letting someone go. The8’s vocal delivery amplifies the feelings of loneliness and isolation.

This new release also showcases his musical evolution, presenting a style that differs from his previous solo works and continuously expanding his creative boundaries.

Prior to this, on April 1, The8 released another self-composed track titled "April Draft (四月的漂流)," which draws comparisons between love, heartbreak, and the changing of the seasons.

Meanwhile, The8 is scheduled to perform as a headliner at the Mido Music Festival, taking place from May 1-2 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China.
